1)對于比較復雜的民用建筑,在設計階段,各工種(暖通、給水排水,供電照明與建筑)首先應協商好空間分隔,定出每種管道的標高范圍。一般情況下不得越出給自己規定的界限。遇有個別管段要越界時應與其他工程協商。2)解決各種通風管道相碰及協調的原則,一般為:“小管讓大管,有壓讓無壓”。例如,自來水管與風管相撞,則應當自來水管拐彎。冷、熱水管與下水管相碰,則應改變冷、熱水管道。3)施工前應設備總管的工程師,將各工種的管線,單線畫在一張平面圖上。每種管道用一種彩色筆。在各交點處綜合其標高,看是否有矛盾之處,及時發現,將問題解決在安裝之前。4)為了減少投資,節省空間,降低層高,有些敷設無坡度要求的管道,可以穿梁敷設(如自來水管道,消防噴灑干管等)。

無機玻璃鋼通風管(又稱玻璃纖維氯氧鎂水泥通風管)是以氯氧鎂水泥為膠結料中堿玻璃纖維為增強材料、加入填充材料和改性劑等所制成的一種管材。它具有不燃燒、屬不燃材料A級,耐腐蝕、強度高和重量輕等特點。在建筑工程、地下工程及工業廠房的通風中,它已經完全取代了不耐燃的有機玻璃鋼通風管,并在逐步取代防腐性能差的鍍鋅鐵皮通風管。尤其是在濕度大的地下工程和長江以南地區,它的優越性更為顯著。通過氯氧鎂膠凝材料的研究及制品的檢測,發現無機玻璃鋼通風管在生產中及工程應用中仍存在一些質量問題。有的質量問題嚴重影響了工程的使用壽命,應引起大家足夠重視。
